Will Tiger Woods be the same dominant golfer when he returns? It's hard to be believe.

Everything Tiger Woods does is hard to believe, yet he does it.  Tiger is mentally on a higher level then everyone else combined.  He may be a little rusty, but hard to think that he will be less skillfull then we he last played on a torn ACL.

Tiger is one of those rare people who combines extraordinary talent with extraordinary dedication to his craft.  If anyone thinks he will be less of a force than when he left, then they haven't been paying attention.

Will Tiger have the same motivation without Buick on his bag, and in the parking lot?  I would imagine sponsor cash is going to be very limited going forward.  I am a big Tiger fan, so I'm not picking on him.  IMHO there will be a huge restructuring in professional sports compensation, downward.  In most cases this has been a long time coming.

Even if He does`nt return stronger, it won`t  matter, there has never been anyone stronger. I consider myself fortunate just to have been alive to witness what he has already accomplished.

tiger will dominate for the next several years at least. he's proven that he can play in pain and win. he's proven, really, that he can do anything he sets his mind to in golf. i have no doubt that if he's fully healed, and with a couple of tournaments under his belt, he'll be back as good as ever. not sure better, but as good as he left it. and that's pretty damn good. i'm with the poster above... glad to be alive to see the guy who will likely go down as the best there ever was in the sport. lol.. and i don't even golf! - mt

The body may show some rust but the mind, determination and drive will be a dominating as ever (and the rust will shake off!)

i wish tiger would adopt a swing that doesn't require so much torque on his left knee.  if he injures it again, it might be all she wrote...

As much as Tiger is a true example of skill, physical strength, and mental toughness and acuity; if he comes back with just half the pain he had in the past it will heighten his concentration and his game.  The tour will be playing for second for several more years to come.

What in the Tower of Babel was the world's #1 thinking?  He may be mentally strong all right, but he's not fully recovered from his knee surgery.  It took Kenny Perry 2 yrs. to recover before playing again.  I'm concerned that he might not be the same athlete in his prime as he can incur further damage in the same knee from his violent golf swings.  Look at what happened to the former Dodgers' closer, Eric Gagne.  He had Tommy John surgery after experiencing season-ending shoulder pain.  He later returned the next season with the Red Sox too soon.

What in the Tower of Babel was the world's #1 thinking?  He may be mentally strong all right, but he's not at full strength from the knee surgery.  It took Kenny Perry 2 yrs. to recover before playing again.  I'm concerned that he might not be the same athlete in his prime as he might further damage the same body part as a result of his violent golf swings unless he changes them.  Ernie Els even advised him not to come back very soon.  Look at what happened to Eric Gagne, the former Dodgers' closer.  He underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery on his right shoulder until his release from the team.  He returned the next time with the Red Sox for the same position, but he wasn't quite the same person we're used to seeing.

Tiger won't play until he feels he's ready to.  Having said that, if he feels he's ready, then he'll be tough to beat. Count on it....

Tiger always come back stronger; so every one else will be playing for second place.  He is that good.
