He needs to stay healthy, but could be one of the all time greats... I like him because he is a dirt dog....  not afraid to take a chance... the problem could be that those diving catches could lead to a rash of injuries

He certainly did deserve it in every aspect of offense and defense... the little engine that could! Your looking at a future hall of famer here...

Dustin is what baseball is all about! His love for the game never waivers, even when things aren't going his way. Because he always shows up, he's always a part of the action. If he stays healthy, he'll leave his mark on baseball!

This proves that if you work hard and believe in yourself, you can accomplish so much.  Rookie of the Year, World Series Champ, Gold Glove, Silver Slugger, All-Star 2nd baseman, MVP.  What an amazing first two years.  Congrats Pedroia the Destroia!!

Dustin truly is what baseball is all about - he's a team player, not just out for himself! He's definitely been drinking that dirty water and Red Sox Nation loves him!!!  Congrats Dustin!

Pedroia, who made just $457,000 last season. That's to much for any player in my book.

Forty-nine year drought since a second-sacker won the award? Who cares? Also, I know they're talking MVP in the American League, but Joe Morgan won back-to-back MVPs in 1975-76 so this is not such a rare occurrence. The fact that it's the first Red Sox player since Vaughn in 1995 is a far more intriguing stat to me, considering how good the Red Sox have been over the past 7 years. Common' media (and I know the author of the story doesn't always come up with the headline), let not exaggerate things...

This should help sales of his Pedrioa's Premium salsas:

Here's a kid that plays every play in every game like it's the World Series game 7!  He's one of the most impressive of the up and comers.  If every player on the Sox played like him they'd win it all all the time.  I think he's got a chance to one of the "greatest."  He could, twenty years from now, be one of "those" big names.

                Way to go Peedy!

Glad to see everyone's behind this kid, Pedroia! He's not yet reached the top of his game and should, no doubt, see more of these MVP Awards.

                  Congrats, Peedy!!!

                  Go Sox!!
